Do you want to see something Badass? by Roger Kapsi

If you're in NYC on May 29, 2016 then please give these guys a hand and experience the rare opportunity of seeing some of the most Badass ocean racing sailboats and sailors of the world.

You may wonder how Badass? Judge yourself and keep in mind they sail these 60ft boats alone, non-stop and without any external assistance across oceans and the world in something like 78 days (current record).

Team Gitana/Edond De Rothschild and their new IMOCA 60

They're currently assembling in NYC. Some as part of the "The Transat bakerly" race, others are already here and some are being delivered by other means to this side of the Atlantic. Hugo Boss/Alex Thompson Racing is for example (supposedly) located at the North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place in downtown Manhattan.

They're coming to NYC for their last qualification race for the next Vendée Globe which starts this fall. This qualification race is called the "New York - Vendée (Les Sables D’Olonne)" and is part of the IMOCA Ocean Masters World Championships.

And if you like Infographcs... It's this Badass.

The exact numbers are to be taken with a grain of salt. Preferably sea-salt.
